  • I don’t usually go for pancakes, but Uncle John’s pleasantly surprised me. I started with the strawberry mango mimosa—refreshing and generously poured. For my main, I ordered the Blueberry Pancakes with their Blueberry Danish Topping. The pancakes were fluffy and satisfying, and while I wished for a bit more intensity in the blueberry flavor, the cream cheese frosting added the perfect balance of richness and sweetness. I also tried the Veggie Skillet with egg whites, then customized it with bacon and white cheese. It was hearty, comforting, and exactly what you’d want from a classic breakfast spot. Warm service, generous portions, and a cozy diner vibe make this a great place for a casual brunch. I’d definitely come back to try more off the griddle!

  • Stopped in on a Saturday morning and seated within 5 minutes on the patio. It was quite busy inside and outside. Lovely atmosphere, friendly/attentive service, and huge portions/good value! -Chicken & Waffles (they substituted the fried chicken for chicken tenders for us) + gravy -Avocado & Bacon Omelet Souffle with Tomatillo sauce on the side + hash browns + pancakes -Side of Corned Beef Hash -Bloody Mary (delicious & perfectly seasoned) -S'mores Latte Everyone loved their meals! Large servings, and we probably would've shared/ordered differently had we known in advance. But overall, we loved the experience and would highly recommend!

  • Restaurant was packed but the waiting period was short. Nice diner type, casual dress. Service was quick. Breakfast for 2 @$55. Serving size is large and food was great. First time there, plan to visit again when in the area.

  • It had been a while since I last visited Uncle John’s Pancake House for breakfast, but it did not disappoint. I went on a weekday morning, and seating was quick and easy—my friend and I were greeted warmly and seated within a minute of walking in. The restaurant had a nice buzz, semi-busy but with plenty of available seating both indoors and outdoors. The menu is straightforward and easy to navigate, with something for everyone. I decided on the Big Boy Breakfast, which comes with three eggs, all three types of meat, hash browns, and your choice of griddle item or toast. I went with the blueberry batter pancakes topped with blueberries and a sweet blueberry glaze—they were fluffy, flavorful, and absolutely hit the spot. The portion was generous enough to share, though you’ll want to savor them all to yourself. We also ordered the Benedict with chipotle hollandaise, which was just as impressive. The sauce had the perfect balance of smokiness and spice, elevating a classic dish into something memorable. Everything we ordered came out hot, fresh, and perfectly cooked—nothing underdone or overdone. The staff was attentive in the right way—checking in on us when needed but also giving us space to enjoy our meal. Despite the steady flow of customers, they managed to keep up great service without making us feel rushed. Overall, Uncle John’s Pancake House remains a solid go-to for a hearty and satisfying breakfast in Santa Clara. Great food, friendly service, and fair prices. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a classic breakfast spot with some standout dishes. I’ll definitely be coming back again!

  • Phenomenal experience. Breakfast was hot and served freshly made. Service was friendly and fast. Paid about 20 bucks for my plate. Hollandaise was an extra 3, Coffee was about 4 bucks. Coffee was hot and not bitter at all. Not bad for the price. Skip Ihop and some here instead.

  • You know this place is on another level when you see the same regular at opening each morning. Generous portions. Food is delicious - pancakes and omelettes are fluffy not dry, one of the best biscuit and gravy (biscuit not too big and starchy, just perfect).
